Our projects in the area of skills development
ECS Academy (ECSA)
In the coming years, the European project EU Chips Skills (ECS) Academy will focus on bundling and making visible training and further education opportunities in microelectronics. As the successor to the METIS project, the ECS Academy will establish an industrial university network offering scholarships, apprenticeships, access to laboratory facilities, vocational training and online courses.
PerspektiveArbeit Lausitz (PAL)
Interdisciplinary teams from the fields of occupational research and engineering from five universities and 27 companies and associations from Saxony and Brandenburg are pooling their expertise in the PerspektiveArbeit Lausitz (PAL) project. The common goal is to make work in Lusatia efficient, attractive and healthier using data-based assistance systems.

Retraining
The retraining of skilled workers from other sectors also offers potential for recruiting new skilled workers, particularly those in sectors where skilled workers are being made redundant. In the interests of our industries, we continuously network locally, nationally and internationally in order to identify such situations at an early stage and react accordingly, as well as to make suitable offers visible or support their development.
