Silicon Saxony supports men’s health

As part of Movember, men have been drawing attention to the fact that preventive healthcare is an important, if not life-saving, issue for them too. They show their solidarity under the motto “Grow a mo, save a bro” by growing a mo, a moustache, from November 1 to 30, collecting donations and calling for donations or jogging at least 60 km throughout the month. A campaign that women can also support and which is intended to remind people of the 60 suicides committed by men worldwide every hour.

We think this campaign is worth supporting. Not only because we simply have a lot of men in our network and their health is important to us, but also because mental health, suicide prevention, prostate and testicular cancer concern us all, because After all, we all have brothers, fathers, uncles, husbands and friends.

Show your Movember face

At the end of the month, we want to set an example and show how many Mo Bros and Mo Sisters our network has. Whether you’re a man with a moustache, a woman with a stick-on beard or a man jogging – upload your photo (square) for our big LinkedIn collage and send a clear signal for men’s health.

We look forward to your support

Grow a “Mo”

Start Movember clean-shaven and then grow a moustache for 30 days. OK, it doesn’t look stunning straight away, but it sends out a strong signal and encourages conversation.

Support us with a donation

Support the Silicon Saxony team and donate an amount between 10 and 50 euros. Our joint donation target is 999 euros. Can we achieve this? We think so!

Move for Movember

Beard, no thanks? Then get into your running shoes. Women and men who jog or run 60 km in November are setting an equally important example and are also doing something good for themselves.

The action alliance behind it

Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health. The organizers know what works for men – and what doesn’t. Since 2003, Movember has funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world, challenging the status quo, shaking up men’s health research and changing the way health services reach and support men.
