The project “Digitalization of the industrialization process in the automotive and supplier industry” (DIAZI for short) is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection and is scheduled to run for three years. It was launched in January 2023.
Continental and the project partners are promoting a new approach for effective and sustainable production processes in the automotive and supplier industry. Thanks to digital simulations, artificial intelligence and data management in the cloud, innovations are to be brought to market faster, more efficiently, more sustainably and more cost-effectively across the entire production process.
First project goals successfully achieved
The first project phase has now been completed. Its aim was to define specific demonstration models within various digitalization fields in order to include the entire virtual line planning and commissioning process, including data-based process optimization, right through to the transfer to application operation. DUALIS was also involved in this process. DUALIS has been developing and selling software solutions for production optimization and planning for many years. They are used, for example, to realistically map, test and plan production processes with foresight. These are key components that enable companies to produce quickly, flexibly and efficiently.
The collaboration of the project partners within the consortium underlines the fact that the bundling of domain knowledge and cross-industry innovative strength are decisive levers for taking a holistic view of the future of the manufacturing industry and shaping it sustainably.
