As the heart of the German semiconductor industry, Dresden also urgently needs highly qualified specialists who understand the interface between technology and business.

The Industrial Management in Microelectronics (M. Sc.) Master’s degree program at Dresden International University (DIU) is directly linked to this development. This practice-oriented degree program not only teaches technical know-how, but also management skills that are crucial for management positions in the semiconductor industry. Graduates of the program are well prepared to take on a key role in the growing microelectronics industry, be it in production planning, supply chain management, quality management or strategic corporate management.

The program will start on October 1, 2024 with an international group of students who will complete their Master’s degree at DIU with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation and Mechanical Engineering, among others.

Dresden International University (DIU) is setting another milestone in the training of specialists for the Saxon semiconductor industry with the “Industrial Management in Microelectronics” Master’s degree course.

What makes the course stand out?

  • Practical orientation: close links with industry through practical projects, guest lectures by industry experts and the opportunity for internships at leading semiconductor companies in Dresden.
  • International orientation: Students from different countries benefit from the international environment in the industry and an English-language study program.
  • Individual support: Small study groups enable intensive support from the professors.
  • Quality: With Prof. Dr. Lasch and Prof. Dr. Gerlach from TU Dresden as Scientific Directors of the course, lecturers from practice and science complement the academic training at a high level.
