One of the key outcomes of the project is the development of a resilience plan to strengthen Europe’s technological ecosystem and provide companies with the necessary strategies to overcome future challenges. By identifying critical areas for improvement and ensuring greater self-sufficiency, this plan has laid the foundations for a more competitive and sustainable industry.
During the 30-month project period, an open call for demonstration projects was launched, from which twelve innovative projects received funding for their development. This contributed to the development of new technologies and progress in various industry sectors.
Recognizing the importance of workforce development in a rapidly changing market, the project also launched a portfolio for upskilling and reskilling. Silicon Eurocluster has compiled what the project partners have provided in upskilling and reskilling programs such as training programs to ensure that professionals have the necessary skills to drive industry growth and adapt to new technological trends.
In line with Europe’s commitment to making European industry more sustainable, the project launched an open call for green experts and created a dedicated catalog of eligible candidates to match companies with professionals to advise them on implementing green solutions. To this end, an open call for green finance support was launched, resulting in the selection of 25 SMEs that received dedicated funding to access expert advisory services that enabled them to transition to greener operations while maintaining their competitiveness in the market.
In addition, the project has placed a strong emphasis on internationalization, providing European SMEs with resources and expertise to expand their presence beyond national borders. By facilitating entry into international markets such as the United States or Taiwan, this initiative aimed to strengthen Europe’s global influence in the fields of technology and innovation.
The Silicon Eurocluster project has not only delivered tangible results, but has also created a solid foundation for further collaboration and growth in the European electronics technology sector. The progress made in this project reflects the joint efforts of industrial partners and SMEs committed to promoting digital and sustainable transformation. Even after the completion of the project, the results will continue to serve as a driving force for future progress within the Silicon Europe Alliance and ensure that Europe remains at the forefront of technological innovation and economic resilience.
