As soon as the doors opened at Dresden Airport, it was clear: with well over 600 participants, 32 percent of whom came from abroad, the 17th Silicon Saxony Day put all previous events in the shade. 80 speakers and demonstrators as well as 54 exhibitors provided exciting technology impulses and presented fresh innovations and demonstrations on the main stage and four clearly focused theme islands.

Networking and the targeted knowledge and technology transfer that drives the European network forward day by day were also the focus this year. Participants were able to arrange meetings prior to the event via the company’s own matchmaking tool B2Match, and participants made intensive use of this and other networking opportunities.
Dirk Röhrborn, Chairman of the Board of Silicon Saxony and Managing Director of the software company Communardo put it in a nutshell: “Networking is an incredibly important and often underestimated factor of economic growth.”
The latest Saxon location figures, which were presented to interested press representatives during the Silicon Saxony Day, also underscored this statement. Saxony’s high technology continues to grow almost unchanged. We are well on the way to being able to report more than 100,000 employees in our industries before 2030 – another piece of good news on this day.
