June 16, 2026. The goal of the study is to identify opportunities, challenges, and needs in the field of AI and robotics in Saxony. The findings will be directly incorporated into concrete recommendations for action, which are intended to help strengthen Saxony’s innovative capacity and competitiveness in the long term.

As part of a study titled “Saxony’s Path to the Next Industrial Revolution,” the Chemnitz Institute for Mechanical and Plant Engineering (ICM) (ICM) is conducting a survey on the topics of artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics on behalf of the Saxon State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labor, Energy, and Climate Protection (SMWA). This survey is specifically aimed at companies, research institutions, startups, and other stakeholders who are already developing or offering products and services in this field, or who plan to engage in such activities in the future.
