In Leipzig, the N+P team will be presenting its entire expertise in end-to-end and cross-divisional data flows as the basis for modern digitalization strategies in the manufacturing industry. Various scenarios will demonstrate how processes can be simplified, accelerated and automated via different core IT systems along the value chain. Thanks to the cooperation with the company SITEC, a joining module is available, which is used live at the trade fair stand and serves as a digitized data model for various demonstration purposes on the N+P platform.

End-to-end digitization: consistency as a competitive advantage

End-to-end digitization along the entire value chain is a central focus in all presentation scenarios as part of the trade fair appearance. N+P will be demonstrating how, for example, the connection of ERP and PLM systems with the N+P platform enables end-to-end data flows. Data such as customer information, parts lists, CAD models, manuals or even instructions are displayed directly from the ERP and PLM system in the N+P platform. This ensures that all current information is available to everyone involved in the process at the touch of a button. In conjunction with the SITEC joining module on the exhibition stand, the real-time information is recorded and processed in the N+P platform, which is used for subsequent service calls. The centralization of all relevant system data not only improves efficiency, but also forms the basis for optimized after-sales service. It supports the transition from pure machine manufacturer to service provider and enables new digital business models. The Manufacturing-X data room serves as a standard data transfer channel between the companies.

Digital model factory: connecting the virtual world with the real world

A digital model factory, developed in collaboration with SITEC, is at the heart of the trade fair presentation. This represents an image of the real production environment of a SITEC production hall. The digital replica is based on the complete digital building, including the technical building equipment, which was supplemented by the machines and systems located in the hall. These machines were integrated into the digital model in great detail using 3D CAD plans. The complete digital factory is available at the trade fair and visitors can experience how production data can be recorded, analyzed and used for process optimization in real time.

Sustainability through energy controlling in the digital factory

The increasing importance of sustainable and resource-conserving production is emphasized by precise energy controlling on the N+P platform. Energy controlling is an integral part of the N+P platform and enables resource consumption to be displayed transparently, optimization potential to be identified and production costs to be reduced sustainably. SITEC’s digital model factory will be used to show how modern energy controlling can be implemented. Real-time data from machines, systems and the building, such as electricity consumption, compressed air, nitrogen and shielding gas consumption, are recorded, visualized and analysed.

Innovative complete CAD/CAM solutions in collaboration with OPEN MIND Technologies AG

At stand A14 in hall 2, N+P and OPEN MIND Technologies AG will be presenting CAM solutions with a wide range of excellent 2.5D, 3D, 5-axis milling and turning strategies as well as special applications and automation strategies. Demonstrations will show how integrated workflows can make manufacturing more efficient while promoting digital sovereignty and sustainability.
