Based on the agreement, Dassault Systèmes joins mosaixx, KUKA’s digital ecosystem for industrial software solutions. This enables customers to purchase and use Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform and solutions. With expanded access to virtual twin technology and improved collaboration capabilities, Dassault Systèmes and the newly established digital division KUKA Digital open up new opportunities for companies to develop efficient and flexible solutions – with the potential to sustainably optimize processes and workflows.
The global market value of industrial robot installations is estimated at 16.5 billion US dollars – driven by AI, energy efficiency and other trends. With more than four million industrial robots in use in factories worldwide in 2024, the number of annual new installations is expected to rise to 718,000 by 2026.
KUKA Group launched mosaixx in 2024 as an open, collaborative cloud platform for industrial software. This offers system integrators and engineers within the growing industry access to a wide range of solutions. This allows factory floors and production machines to be digitized and automated with an ecosystem approach – regardless of machine type or manufacturer. The 3DEXPERIENCE platform and Dassault Systèmes solutions are used in industries worldwide to virtually design, simulate and develop products, processes and infrastructures with real-time data before they are physically manufactured or implemented.
“Through the cooperation with Dassault Systèmes, we are expanding our mosaixx portfolio with the industry-leading Virtual Twin technology. Engineers gain the ability to perform simulations and analysis with real-time data, while system integrators benefit from improved collaboration and flexible applications that increase adaptability and speed of innovation,” said Quirin Görz, CEO of KUKA Digital.
“The partnership with KUKA enables us to provide bundled access to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform as well as to our numerous applications such as CATIA, DELMIA and SOLIDWORKS. This opens up new opportunities for customers to benefit from the use of virtual worlds in various sectors. For example, there is potential in the automotive, aerospace, electronics, metalworking, logistics, healthcare and many other industries,” says Gian Paolo Bassi, Senior Vice President, Customer Role Experience at Dassault Systèmes.
The partnership was announced during Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE World event in Houston, USA. The event is aimed at the user community of SOLIDWORKS and the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
