As a technology group with a focus on robotics and automation, KUKA Group is working with its customers to make production more resource-efficient – and is working intensively on its own transformation into a climate-neutral company. The main goal is to reduce emissions from its own business activities (Scope 1 and 2) by at least 40% by 2030 compared to 2022 and to become completely climate-neutral by 2050. KUKA will reduce emissions along the entire value chain (Scope 3) by 20% by 2030 and by 90% by 2050.
“As a globally active technology group, we have a corporate and social responsibility because we are helping to shape the future of our working world. We are therefore working on resource-saving products and solutions for our customers, but also on improvements in our day-to-day business. We have set ourselves clear goals here, across the entire value chain,” explains Peter Mohnen, CEO of KUKA Group.
In order to achieve these goals, KUKA will significantly improve the energy efficiency of its own sites by 2030 through targeted measures and generate more electricity from renewable energies itself. In addition, the company car fleet will be electrified.
KUKA was nominated for the German Sustainability Award 2024 for such exemplary ecological and social achievements. The company was also honored with the ESG Transparency Award in the “Excellence” class for the integration of future-oriented sustainability practices and transparent communication.
