Industrial Internet of Things
The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) describes the networking of machines, plants and devices in industry with the aim of increasing efficiency and productivity. Sensors and actuators are used to collect and process data. This data can then be used to optimize processes, plan maintenance work or develop new business models. In this way, costs can be reduced, quality improved and new business areas opened up.

Industrial Internet of Things Test Bed
The Industrie 4.0 model factory, the Industrial Internet of Things IIoT Test Bed, offers small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) the opportunity to research and develop new manufacturing processes, innovative products and business models based on various IoT and digitalization technologies, and to test them interactively in the interaction of this practical manufacturing landscape. The test environment is equipped with a production logistics line supplemented by several robot modules with VR stations, autonomous transport vehicles, and manual workstations. State-of-the-art sensor technology makes it possible to record process and consumption data, environmental parameters, and process-related quality information throughout the entire manufacturing process.
