KMLT GmbH, a specialist in high-precision laser processing in the thin sheet metal sector, continues to invest consistently in the future. In recent months, a modern warehouse building has been constructed at the Neukirch/Lausitz site, directly adjacent to the existing production hall. This increases the total usable space at the site to around 1,130 m².

The new building has enabled internal logistics processes to be restructured and space to be created for two state-of-the-art laser systems. This significantly increases KMLT®‘s production capacity and enables it to meet the growing demand from sectors such as microelectronics, mechanical engineering, medical technology, automotive engineering, and the watch industry even more efficiently.

A particular milestone is the entry into ultra-short pulse laser processing: a multi-axis femtosecond ultra-short pulse laser system opens up completely new possibilities in ultra-precise material processing.

The company is also setting an example in the area of sustainability. The installation of a photovoltaic system covering the entire roof area actively contributes to the ecological efficiency of the site.

“The expansion is an important step toward securing our long-term competitiveness and continuing to offer our customers the highest quality and flexibility,” explains Mike Müller, one of the two managing directors. “At the same time, we are ensuring that we are ideally positioned to meet future requirements in precision manufacturing.” KMLT® is thus underlining its role as a reliable partner in laser contract manufacturing and the importance of the Neukirch location for the regional economy.

The total investment volume amounts to 1.5 million euros. The measure is co-financed by tax funds based on the budget approved by the Saxon state parliament.
