On July 16, Intel and Google Cloud announced an expansion of their previously announced multi-year strategic partnership, which is designed to accelerate Intel’s company-wide digital transformation through the use of Gemini Enterprise and Google Cloud. Intel will integrate advanced, Gemini-based generative AI for its global workforce to expand capabilities and optimize traditional workflows in development, supply chain, and business operations.

Google Cloud’s highly scalable infrastructure will also expand Intel’s semiconductor development environment and introduce customized, agent-based workflows to accelerate the chip design lifecycle and optimize cross-functional implementation.

By integrating Google AItechnologies, Intel is moving beyond isolated enterprise AI pilot programs and introducing specialized agent-based development support and technical automation that leverage Gemini’s advanced inference capabilities to optimize development pipelines and automate complex, multi-step software workflows. By leveraging the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, Intel’s business units can securely develop and run custom line-of-business (LOB) agents that automate core processes and accelerate data-driven execution.
As part of its AI transformation efforts, Intel is exploring Google Cloud-based solutions that help teams optimize marketing and communications workflows, generate audience-specific content, and accelerate campaign execution. Among the first pilot projects are AI agents that can recommend the most relevant subject matter experts for a specific topic, develop appropriate messages for executives, and automatically generate supporting materials for various communication channels.
Intel’s AI-driven enterprise transformation is further supported by Google Cloud’s scalable infrastructure, which Intel uses to optimize its semiconductor development simulation processes and developers’ core workloads. Google Cloud will complement Intel’s existing on-premises computing capabilities. By scaling on-premises compute cores to Google Cloud C4 and N4 instances, Intel’s engineering teams can run complex HPC simulations in parallel, thereby accelerating chip development cycles.
This expansion builds on a long history of joint innovation between the two companies, most recently highlighted by their collaboration to optimize next-generation AI infrastructure.
