Artificial intelligence
Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to become, or has already become in recent years, an economic and innovation driver. Numerous developments and innovations in this area already originate in the Free State of Saxony. Saxony’s high-tech industry, and Silicon Saxony in particular, are increasingly focusing on the trendy topic of AI. In Silicon Saxony, for example, a focus group on AI, headed by AI specialists Uwe Gäbler from Infineon Technologies and Dr. Peter Schneider from Fraunhofer IIS/EAS, is driving the issue forward.
Artificial intelligence
Competences and innovation potential in Saxony
With the help of a comprehensive study on the status quo in Saxon research and industry, AI activities in Saxony were evaluated and processed. Among other things, expert interviews and an online survey provided information about current and future requirements and needs of the business community. The aim was to identify needs for action for economic development, to derive targeted proposals for activities and to optimally explore innovation potentials.
