“We are delighted to welcome so many young people to our company again this year. In times of a shortage of skilled workers, we have a responsibility to provide the young generation with the best possible support and offer them a solid basis for their professional development. Their fresh perspective is a valuable asset for Bechtle and our common future,” says Dr. Thomas Olemotz, CEO of Bechtle AG.

Broad spectrum of future-oriented professions

Bechtle appeals to young people with a broad range of 13 training professions. The commercial and technical professions include e-commerce, IT system management or digitization management and marketing communication clerks as well as IT systems electronics technicians, IT specialists in various specifications or warehouse logistics specialists. In cooperation with the dual universities, Bechtle offers students a total of nine business and technical degree courses, including digital commerce management, international business, business informatics, information technology, online media and cybersecurity.

Technical training and business studies in the lead

In terms of training, technical professions are in particularly high demand, while business studies dominate. Of the trainees, 451 (previous year: 429) are currently completing a technical apprenticeship and 287 (previous year: 316) a commercial apprenticeship. Of the dual students, 84 (previous year: 81) opted for an economics course and 51 (previous year: 43) for a technical course. With 745 (previous year: 741) trainees and dual students, the majority are employed at Bechtle’s German locations. The trainee ratio here is 6.7 percent (previous year: 7.0 percent). By 2030, Bechtle aims to increase the training rate to 10 percent.

Starting the future together

Bechtle starts each training year with an introductory event at the headquarters in Neckarsulm. The aim of this joint event is to strengthen the sense of togetherness right from the start and to promote personal networks beyond the site boundaries. Participants will get to know Bechtle’s central service units and gain insights into the company’s brand and culture. This event marks the start of an extensive range of seminars offered by the Bechtle Academy, which extends over the entire training period and concludes with special exam preparation courses. In addition, a specially developed mentoring program supports the trainees and students, which facilitates their rapid integration into the company.

Application phase for 2025 trainee positions already open

Bechtle has already published the available trainee and student positions for the 2025 intake and has received the first applications. Applications can be submitted directly via Bechtle’s careers page at bechtle.com/careers. “We look forward to continuing to welcome committed and talented young professionals in the future and to offering them first-class entry-level opportunities for a successful professional future in the IT industry,” says Dr. Thomas Olemotz.
