The mission to Silicon Saxony’s Silicon Alps partner network brought together experts from a variety of fields, including microelectronics, sensors, cybersecurity and power electronics, to promote innovation in electronic systems and advance collaboration. Over three exciting days, experts from Germany, France, Finland and other regions shared knowledge, explored potential partnerships and engaged in cutting-edge research and development activities.
The mission included visits to leading companies such as Lam Research GmbH, Silicon Austria Labs GmbH, NXP Semiconductors Austria GmbH & Co KG and SVI Austria GmbH. In addition, participants attended EBSCON 2023, a major regional event focusing on Electronic Based Systems. The resulting so-called ClusterXchanges were financially supported by Silicon Saxony’s ongoing EXCITE project.
The initiative not only highlighted the thriving technological landscape of the Silicon Alps region, but also underscored the critical role of cross-border collaboration in advancing Europe’s global ambitions in digitization and technology. The Business Mission is a vivid example of our commitment to foster innovation, shape a sustainable future, and maintain our competitiveness in the ever-changing tech industry.
