The import and export logistics for goods and raw materials in Brazil are complex and highly regulated. In addition, the calculation of taxes and communication with the government’s own foreign trade system Siscomex are very different from other countries. As part of the acquisition, the two companies are now combining their expertise into an exclusive offering, with NTT DATA Business Solutions enabling the transformation to SAP® S/4HANA and holding several tax solutions. With its GTM software, Conexos facilitates efficient and flexible import and export control, optimizes processes in a targeted manner and, in the process, ensures more transparent, manageable and rule-compliant foreign trade transactions.

World trade is a complex system of exchanging goods, services and capital across national borders. The multitude of players, legal frameworks, tariffs and non-tariff barriers to trade, such as quotas, embargoes, technical standards and customs procedures, lead to complex interactions. In this context, Conexos has developed a comprehensive, modular SaaS (Software as a Service) product that automates import and export processes for customers. The goal: to reduce bureaucratic hurdles and ensure efficient customs clearance. Thanks to synergy effects from the interaction of 65 integrated software bots, the platform can take over repetitive routine tasks, relieve employees and avoid potential human errors. In addition, more than 4,000 reports provide significant support for strategic decisions.

Both companies have already successfully collaborated under the GUEPARDO – Fostering Finance brand, a portfolio of hybrid financial products made up of cloud and on-premise components. “GUEPARDO Global Trade by Conexos is a result of our active partnership,” explains Ricardo Fachin, Managing Director of NTT DATA Business Solutions Brazil. “This powerful management platform can automate up to 70% of the routine tasks of the main players in foreign trade. Together, we can combine our deep expertise even more effectively to make our services attractive to even more customers.”
As part of the acquisition, more than 300 existing Conexos customers will move to NTT/NTT DATA Group. There is also potential for future expansion into the entire Latin American market. Currently only available in Brazil, Conexos Cloud software has already been adapted for businesses in Latin America and is also available in Spanish and English.
