The new Autonomous Intelligent Place and Route product consists of a newly developed routing engine called Smart Autorouter, which uses machine learning based on an innovative technology called Brain. The latter will be introduced in three stages, starting with the Basic Brain, and future extensions Dynamic Brain and, at the highest level, the Autonomous Brain.
“Our introduction of AI in PCB design in three phases will provide designers with an expanded range of tools within the CR-8000 platform, accelerating design cycles and opening up new dimensions of creativity,” said Kazuhiro Kariya Sr. Managing Executive Officer and CTO of Zuken Inc.
Optimizing Design Quality by Leveraging Expert Knowledge
Even the first stage of expansion, Basic Brain, revolutionizes PCB design by learning from Zuken’s library of design examples and existing design expertise. Basic Brain seamlessly integrates with the robust CR-8000 platform and enhances the user experience by unbundling design with the Smart Autorouter based on learned practices and strategies.
Merging AI and Expert Knowledge
In the second stage, the Dynamic Brain learns from newly created PCB designs by leveraging design examples from the past and integrating them with AI algorithms. Combining customer best practices with AI-powered solutions enables faster design turnarounds and a noticeable increase in overall productivity within the CR-8000 platform.
Autonomous Brain: A New Evolutionary Stage of AI
The third and highest stage of expansion will be the Autonomous Brain, an AI-powered brain in continuous learning mode that keeps pushing the boundaries of creativity. The Autonomous Brain’s ability to improve itself with each project will usher in a new era of AI-driven innovation and will be available exclusively on Zuken’s CR-8000 platform.
With the new CR-8000 AIPR platform, Zuken is underscoring its commitment to greater efficiency, accuracy and technological advancement to meet the ever-growing challenges in electronics design. Kazuhiro Kariya, senior managing executive officer and CTO of Zuken Inc. commented, “Our introduction of AI in PCB design in three phases will provide designers with an expanded set of tools within the CR-8000 platform that will accelerate design cycles and unlock new dimensions of creativity.”
Autonomous Intelligent Place and Route with Smart Autorouter and Basic Brain products will be available in the first quarter of 2024. The Dynamic Brain and Autonomous Brain expansion stages will be available in future releases.
