ZEISS: Acquisition of camera tracking pioneer Ncam Technologies

July 18, 2023. ZEISS has acquired the British camera tracking pioneer Ncam Technologies Ltd. With this acquisition, ZEISS is expanding its technology portfolio, particularly for the cinema, broadcast and visual effects industries. Ncam’s multiple award-winning hybrid camera tracking technology enables the camera to be spatially located on set using different tracking methods, both for studio and field shots. The tracking data obtained is essential for virtual production and live compositing, and also adds great value in post-production. This technology is an excellent addition to the ZEISS cinema product range.
