NOVA ushers in a new era of automation that sets new standards in terms of efficiency, accessibility and innovation.

As a manufacturer-independent operating system, NOVA simplifies and optimizes the complex world of industrial robotics by integrating hardware components from different manufacturers and making them accessible to everyone with a modern interface. This makes complex programming and inflexible automation landscapes a thing of the past. The open API concept, the unique user experience and the seamless integration of externally developed apps make NOVA a versatile platform for both robot users and millions of software developers.
Vendor-specific and outdated programming languages, high operating costs, the lack of skilled workers and closed ecosystems have so far prevented the enormous potential from unfolding – robotics is still a niche topic, especially in medium-sized companies. As a standardized operating system, NOVA will decisively advance robotics by enabling the simple programming and control of robots from different manufacturers without specific specialist knowledge. This reduces operating costs and accelerates innovation processes, while companies are no longer dependent on hard-to-find specialist personnel. NOVA opens up completely new perspectives, especially for medium-sized companies where the degree of automation is currently still in the single-digit percentage range.
Wandelbot’s NOVA is much more than a conventional operating system. It offers a standardized user interface for all robot manufacturers and models. Software developers can access development tools, UI elements, standardized libraries and sample applications via the associated developer portal and use the Python-based programming language “Wandelscript” to develop their own innovative solutions for interacting with robots and share their experiences in the specially initiated community.

Since June, the first 50 or so customers have been able to experience the benefits of Wandelbots NOVA in the closed beta phase.
