The competition is divided into two categories: “Communication Unlocked” and “AI Innovations Lab”. In the first category, participants are asked to develop an AI solution such as chatbots, prompts, scripts or a tool that improves communication and makes work processes smarter. The ideas can address very different challenges, such as filtering and structuring information, avoiding overload in everyday life or optimizing content in terms of its relevance. The decisive factor is that the submissions show how AI can make the handling of information more efficient.
In contrast to the first category, the “AI Innovations Lab” is explicitly about code-based developments that practically solve a specific problem. The aim is to use functioning software to show how AI can rethink processes, automate tasks or noticeably simplify working life.
“Artificial intelligence will be even more integrated into our working lives in the future – especially in communication. With ‘Code the Future’, we want to offer aspiring developers the opportunity to give free rein to their creativity and at the same time keep our eyes open for the talents of the future,” says Staffbase co-founder and Dr. Lutz Gerlach.
The competition is aimed at young talents between the ages of 18 and 30. The ideas will be evaluated by a jury consisting of Prof. Dr. Martin Stoll, Chair of Scientific Computing at Chemnitz University of Technology, and Lutz Gerlach. On November 25, the six best participants in each category will present their projects at the Staffbase headquarters in Wirkbau Chemnitz. There, they will not only have the chance to win attractive prizes such as MacBooks, iPads and AirPods, but will also be able to make valuable contacts, receive feedback from experts and thus gain important impetus for their own careers.
