Transconnect becomes SAP-certified Orion interface
If Orion Governance introduces its software solution to its customers and there is a need to tap into data sources and structures, especially meta-data from SAP systems, this will be done on the basis of the new interface, supplemented by the SAP-certified ERP adapter for SAP.
According to Stefan Ehrlich, CEO of SQL Projekt AG, and Ramesh Shurma, founder and CEO of Orion Governance, “Orion Governance and SQL Projekt have reached an agreement to help future customers unlock the full potential of their SAP data and to jointly attract new customers to Orion’s Data Fabric platform.” Both companies plan to establish cooperation in the DACH market, including additional markets where Orion Governance operates directly or indirectly. The partnership is to be officially announced at TDWI Munich 2023.
Two data management specialists at eye level
SQL Projekt AG has been an IT service provider for accelerating and securing data-based value creation for over 30 years. “The low-code integration platform Transconnect forms the technical foundation of digital transformation in industry, public administration and many other sectors,” explains Stefan Ehrlich. Transconnect connects the interfaces of applications in the enterprise and transforms data into practical actionable decisions, Ehrlich added.
Orion Governance was founded in 2017 and has since become one of the key protagonists in the data management space with a novel platform for consolidating isolated data sources and fragmented data management tools into a self-defining data fabric. Orion’s motto is to leverage automation and AI as well as ML to provide a technology-independent platform with conceivably low total cost of ownership.
About SQL Projekt AG
SQL Projekt AG (Dresden, Germany) supports its customers in accelerating and securing value creation based on data. Very early on, the SQL Projekt AG team recognized that in the digital age, the efficiency of the tools used to collect, store, process and evaluate data is of central importance to the success of a company.
So, with its Transconnect product, which has been successfully deployed on the market for over 20 years, SQL Projekt supports companies from a wide range of industries (including the manufacturing and food and beverage industries) as well as public sector institutions in automating data provision and production processes. The software is an integration platform that connects control systems for operations, processes and machines (MES, SCADA, PLC or intralogistics systems) with software systems for management and organizational processes (ERP, CRM or PLM). Transconnect is edge-capable, i.e. so compact that it can be operated on small computers directly in production, for example connected via 5G.
The product vision is a distributed network of Transconnect nodes that can be used to automate entire process chains end-to-end and provide required key figures for process optimization. Typical application areas of Transconnect include Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), business process automation – & mobilization, SAP integration, cloudification, and master data management.
