Thomas Zarbock is looking forward to the new challenge: “I have met a great team here and I am looking forward to leading the Freiberg site into the future together with this team,” says the 52-year-old from Dresden. In addition to his role as plant manager, Thomas Zarbock is also responsible for wafer production in Freiberg and at Siltronic AG’s second German site in Burghausen, Upper Bavaria.

For more than ten years, Dr. Christian Heedt has developed and shaped the Freiberg site with great commitment. He will be supporting Thomas Zarbock with his knowledge until the end of the year. Until his departure, his work will also focus on supporting external issues. This includes, for example, a project on the processing and reuse of auxiliary and operating materials at Siltronic.

The handover is the subject of an early and regulated succession solution in order to retain valuable know-how at the site. The wafer manufacturer currently employs around 1,000 people in Freiberg.
