Workshop

Welcoming Communication with International Applicants

In this workshop, we’ll focus on the public image and perception of companies that want to attract and hire international talent. With guidance and targeted questions, we’ll examine our own public image from the perspective of potential international applicants. In doing so, we’ll assess linguistic clarity, access to all relevant information, user-friendliness, and whether the overall tone is welcoming (i.e., free of stereotypes and sensitive to issues of racism).

Interlocal

The Dresden ‘social hub’ for the international community. In addition to weekly events for making friends and practicing the language, there are regular excursions, workshops and advice for companies with discounts for Silicon Saxony members.

Relocation service in Dresden & Saxony

5% member discount for Silicon Saxony companies when using the holistic 360° relocation service and customized advice on the integration of skilled workers.

SaxJob

SaxJob provides companies with comprehensive, long-term support in the search for and integration of trainees and skilled workers, primarily from Chile and Vietnam. Silicon Saxony members receive a discount on recruiting services.

International Recruitment

ZEFAS provides an overview of partners with expertise in recruiting international professionals. SAXONY WORKS also provides information for international professionals .

FIZU’s

Companies wishing to recruit international specialists or workers receive individual, free support from the specialist information centers, particularly with regard to handling bureaucratic processes.

International recruiting

The Center for Securing Skilled Workers and Good Arbeit Sachsen provides an overview of service providers who have expertise in recruiting international skilled workers and labor and who advise and support Saxon companies in this process.

Work & Life Saxony

The labor market mentors support refugees and people with a migration background and their (potential) employers on the path to vocational training or employment subject to social insurance contributions.

In-service language courses

The state capital Dresden coordinates in-service German courses (Job-BSK) for immigrant employees and trainees with language level A2.

International schools in Dresden

Starting in the 2026/27 school year, Bertolt Brecht Gymnasium will be the first public school in Saxony to offer the internationally recognized IB Middle Years Program. Programs (MYP) for grades 6 to 10 (including preparatory grade 5).
