VIRTUOS
AI-supported VR/AR learning environments for the qualification of skilled workers for the Saxon semiconductor industry
With VIRTUOS, we are working together with the Dresdner Chip Akademie (DCA) to develop modern, digitally supported qualification programs for microtechnologists, mechatronics engineers and vocational training personnel. Silicon Saxony is providing support in particular with the needs assessment, the piloting of the planned training program and the qualification of training staff.
At least 12 scalable XR learning scenarios (XR = Extended Reality: Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality, AR/VR) realistically depict safety-, cost- and time-critical cleanroom and production processes in VIRTUOS. An AI-supported bot accompanies the learners in a dialog-based manner, providing explanations, feedback and adaptive learning tips. In addition, a peer-to-peer programme enables trainers and teachers to use XR scenarios in a didactically sound manner, to take on the role of learning guide and to permanently integrate methods of self-organized learning (SOL) into everyday training.
