The aim is to deepen existing partnerships and establish new collaborations. With the expanded capacities, SEMPA can double its production and introduce state-of-the-art technologies and processes.
Space for growth and innovation
“This building is much more than concrete, steel and glass – with this project, we are setting the course for the coming decades. We are increasing our space, creating new capacities and – most importantly – space for people, ideas and collaboration,” explained Managing Director Dr. Jörg Koch in his opening speech.
The new office and production areas are not only larger, but also more intelligently structured, thus promoting cross-divisional exchange. Customer and system-related workspaces enable even more precise and efficient implementation of projects. The company is particularly proud of the central commissioning areas, where the supply systems can be tested and optimized directly in future – a quantum leap for production processes. By opening a second development laboratory, SEMPA is strengthening its innovative power and consolidating its position as a technological pioneer in ultra-pure media technology.
Sustainability as a guiding principle
As announced at the ground-breaking ceremony in 2024, SEMPA has placed great emphasis on sustainability and energy efficiency during construction: 93% recycled steel for the supporting structure, heat pumps in conjunction with a photovoltaic system, green roof areas and a comprehensive charging infrastructure for electric vehicles are core components of the energy concept. To promote electromobility, 30 of the total of 90 car parking spaces on the company premises have been set up as charging stations for electric cars. A spacious and covered bicycle shelter also invites employees to switch to environmentally friendly mobility.
Structures for a strong team
The number of employees has more than doubled in recent years and now stands at around 200 – and the trend is still rising. “We attach great importance to maintaining our excellent working atmosphere despite the growth and creating an environment that promotes collaboration, trust and innovation,” emphasized Koch.
The new building meets this requirement: modern, light-flooded workplaces, spacious social rooms, flexible training areas and a large canteen with a terrace offer optimal conditions for exchange, further training and relaxation.
A clear signal for the future
“Today, we are not only opening the doors of a new building, but also a new chapter in our almost 25-year company history. Let’s move forward together – with courage, joy and the will to continue setting standards,” concluded the Managing Director. SEMPA invested a double-digit million sum in this project – a clear commitment to Saxony as a business location and a strong signal for the future for customers and interested parties worldwide.
