Our origins

Würth Elektronik is part of the family-run Würth Group, the global market leader for high-quality fastening and assembly technology. Reinhold Würth laid the foundation stone in 1971 with an electronics department. Massive growth led to the company being entered in the commercial register in 1976 and thus to the independent development of Würth Elektronik.

Direct sales and close dialogue with customers and partners have characterized the Würth company from the very beginning. Würth Elektronik continues this partnership in the electronics industry with its products, solutions, and services.
