ONE ROOF FOR 12 CREATIVE SUB-SECTORS

WIR GESTALTEN DRESDEN represents 12 sub-sectors of the cultural and creative industries (CCIs) in the state capital. More than 2,100 Dresden companies with over 19,000 creative minds generate over €1 billion annually through creative work. With a growth rate of 5%, the CCI is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the state.
We give cultural and creative professionals in Dresden a voice - and mediate between business and science, politics and administration. To achieve this, WIR GESTALTEN DRESDEN has established a unique model that offers 12 sub-sectors their own contact person. Each sub-sector is represented by a member of the WGD Supervisory Board: Advertising Market, Performing Arts, Architecture, Interdisciplinary, Design Industry, Book Market, Music Industry, Software & Games, Film Industry, Press Market, Art Market and the Broadcasting Industry.

FROM THE INDUSTRY FOR THE INDUSTRY

WIR GESTALTEN DRESDEN promotes cross-sector collaboration, forms networks and makes Dresden's players and their creative products and services visible. Together with the players in the cultural and creative industries, we are committed to shaping working conditions and recognizing creative work.

CROSS INNOVATION MADE IN SAXONY

From 2022 to 2025, we are supporting the CROSS INNOVATION MADE IN SAXONY project and combining knowledge and applications from various industries. Unusual approaches and forward-looking processes are being tested in the creative industries sector and can be implemented in other economic sectors, politics and administration. We support transformation processes and test how artificial intelligence can strengthen companies in the Saxony region.

KREATIV.RAUM.BÖRSE and MARKETS OF THE FUTURE

In 2023 and 2024, WIR GESTALTEN DRESDEN will focus on creative interim use concepts. We want to counteract vacancies in city centers and enrich Dresden's city center with creative impulses, ideas, products and usage concepts. Our KREATIV.RAUM.BÖRSE project operates creative showrooms in the city center and brings local design and handicrafts to Dresden's markets.

NETWORKING AND EXCHANGE

We are a founding member of the Saxony State Association for Cultural and Creative Industries and cooperate closely with the KREATIVES SACHSEN project.
Our monthly network meeting UNDSONSTSO always takes place on the 1st Thursday of the month at 8 p.m. at changing - sometimes enchanted and sometimes lucrative - locations. Without tie and tie, two creative companies from Dresden present themselves and answer questions from the audience.
