About this member
Saxony and energy come together here
As the largest municipal utility in eastern Germany, we create the basis for the best quality of life in Saxony by investing in reliable infrastructure, promoting renewable energies and our regional commitment. It is particularly important to us to find suitable solutions for people, companies and institutions so that they can generate their own electricity from the sun independently and in an environmentally friendly way.
Investments in regional infrastructure
The largest investment sum of the SachsenEnergie Group in 2024 will be around 200 million euros for the expansion of the electricity grids as the backbone of the energy transition. A good 130 million euros are earmarked for decarbonization measures and the expansion of renewable energies. Another investment focus is the nationwide expansion of fiber optics, in which SachsenEnergie also plans to invest a good 130 million euros.
