“Wouldn’t it be great if I could use my smartphone to navigate through the airport terminal so I could catch my connecting flight on time?”

That thought was the starting point for founding Pinpoint.

Our Story

We are three founders with backgrounds in electrical engineering, specializing in circuit and system design. Thanks to our many years of experience with real-time location systems—such as in vehicle asset tracking—we knew: The future of navigation lies in highly precise, reliable positioning—even indoors.

With Ultra-Wideband (UWB), we bring exactly this precision to the smartphone. Our technology enables indoor navigation accurate to the decimeter and works where GPS reaches its limits.

The key to this is our proprietary SATlets—small, intelligent anchor points that take on the role of GPS satellites indoors. They establish a local positioning network, enabling precise, stable, and scalable navigation within buildings.

Our Location

In the vicinity of Chemnitz University of Technology, we have built an international team of developers that adapts our patented intellectual property to various device platforms and makes it scalable worldwide. Our close connection to the university enables sustainable growth and access to new talent, while our proximity to successful startups inspires us to establish our technology globally.
