Renesas Electronics honoured International Women’s Day like this:

We organized a joint breakfast and invited all the women in the company. A total of seven women took part. During the event, we discussed the topic of “Give to Gain”, including what experiences have shaped us and what advice we would give to our 20-year-old selves. In addition, the global training “Superwoman Syndrome – The Hidden Cost of Doing It All. IWD 2026” was offered. We discussed the content of this training in detail and reflected together on what helpful impulses we could take away from it. The meeting was organized by the HR manager and sponsored by the ERG (Employee Resource Group). It is important to us to offer women a safe space and to value their work. The integration of more women in the semiconductor industry is a long-term goal – both for our ERG and for Renesas. In the short and medium term, such events offer a very good opportunity for interdisciplinary networking and exchange. Key “aha” moments arise above all from the realization that you are not alone with your own challenges. Sharing these experiences and learning from each other is a great added value.

At SAP, the International Women’s Day event looked like this:
This year, we also celebrated International Women’s Day at the SAP Dresden site – more than 30 committed female colleagues came together at the exchange organized by the Business Women Network Dresden, sponsored by the SAP Inclusion Office Germany, to honor this special day. We had motivating discussions and celebrated our achievements as women. The focus was to continue networking, sharing experiences and gaining new perspectives while recognizing the strength, creativity and impact of women as role models in our organization. We reminded ourselves of the progress we have made, the challenges that remain – and the strength that comes when every voice is heard. Our presence as women makes our community stronger! More networking and active exchange were named as key takeaways. Young women need role models to inspire them for a future in IT – an aspiration that we want to continue to pursue together. Let’s celebrate. Let’s learn. Let’s lift each other up!

Activities for International Women’s Day @Infineon

On the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 10, the Women@Infineon network organized an inspiring event that brought together over 120 colleagues. Under this year’s motto #GivetoGain, the event was all about the strength that comes from mutual support.

A particular highlight was the keynote speech by Insa Thiele-Eich, meteorologist, (f)astronaut, mother of five and deputy mayor of Königswinter. With her impressive career and her vision of one day flying into space, she captivated the audience and motivated them to take on new perspectives.

Another highlight of the day was a panel discussion with four experts: Dr. Diana Stiller (Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf), Dr. Anna Martius (Crown Coaching International), shift supervisor Anke Heese and Norbert Thyssen (Senior Director Technology Development). The discussion highlighted topics such as individual potential for success, the importance of a supportive corporate culture, personal development and setting clear goals. This stimulating dialog once again demonstrated the importance of diversity and mutual support at Infineon.

International Women’s Day at Infineon was rounded off by the publication of a detailed interview on the intranet. In it, three members of the core team of Women@Infineon Dresden report on the creation of the network, the successes to date, challenges and the various formats used to advance the network’s mission.

International Women’s Day Celebration @ GlobalFoundries Dresden – Give to Gain

On March 18, we celebrated this year’s International Women’s Day together – an inspiring event organized by ERG GlobalWomen.

Honoring exceptional female colleagues

The focus was on 15 impressive female colleagues who were nominated by their managers for their outstanding achievements and special commitment. In a festive award ceremony, the winners received an award, certificate and Michelle Obama’s book “Becoming”. Personal video messages from their managers recognized their individual contributions and successes.

Leadership Panel

An exciting panel with Pradip Singh, Manfred Horstmann and Matthias Bonkass explored the motto “Give to Gain” from different angles – with impulses on leadership, team culture and collaboration.

World Café to help shape the future

In the World Café, all participants had the opportunity to get actively involved:

Different aspects of Give to Gain were discussed in five groups – from personal importance and team collaboration to specific ideas for implementation in everyday working life. The results were briefly presented and opened up many new perspectives.

At the end, our GlobalWomen Executive Sponsor Siew Wei addressed inspiring words to the community. Afterwards, there was time for exchange and networking.
