Building on a long-standing collaboration across several generations of microcontrollers (MCUs), Infineon and Bosch have recently cooperated closely to realize MCUs for the changing E/E architectures that form the basis for the software-defined vehicle. Infineon’s comprehensive automotive product portfolio – the broadest in the industry – covers control and connectivity solutions, analog products, sensors and power semiconductors. This is complemented by an in-depth understanding of systems and sound application expertise. This makes Infineon one of only a few suppliers worldwide that can support customers to this extent.
Infineon was also recognized by Bosch for its investment in manufacturing technologies and capabilities – the foundation for future innovation and growth with customers. The company has a clear focus on the highly efficient production of 300-millimeter silicon wafers and wide-bandgap materials such as gallium nitride (GaN) and silicon carbide (SiC). In 2026, Infineon will put its new 300-millimeter smart power factory in Dresden into operation.
Every two years, Bosch honors the best of its suppliers from around the world with the Bosch Global Supplier Award. In 2025, Bosch selected 49 suppliers from 14 countries out of around 35,000 for an award. This is the 19th time that the Bosch Group has recognized outstanding performance by its suppliers – particularly in the areas of quality, costs, sustainability and innovation. The motto of this year’s award was “Challenge accepted: resilient partnerships, sustainable future” and recognizes successful collaboration under particularly demanding conditions.
Infineon is receiving this prestigious award for the fifth time. It recognizes the company’s technological contributions and its long-standing role as a key supplier to Bosch in the field of automotive electronics.
