The restructuring aims to enable the supply chain management business—which falls outside of ifm’s core business—to develop in a more focused and faster manner, with greater potential. Going forward, GIB will clearly position itself as a software company specializing in intelligent supply chain solutions within the SAP ecosystem. Customers and market partners were informed about the upcoming changes at the “ifm Success Days” on June 9 and 10 in Siegen, an established conference for supply chain experts.
The “new” GIB will consolidate development, consulting, support, and sales into a single organization. The goal is to shorten decision-making processes, create closer collaboration between functions, accelerate innovation cycles, and support customers even more directly and efficiently.
The organizational restructuring will be implemented in stages leading up to the official market launch in October. ifm is closely accompanying and supporting the process. At the same time, GIB is consistently driving forward the further development of its solutions and services. Customers will benefit from faster decisions, more direct communication, and accelerated innovation cycles—while their points of contact, contracts, and services remain unchanged.
