January 26, 2026. In December, construction work began on a new company building for the ifm Group in Tettnang-Bechlingen. The new building will bring together the electronics manufacturer’s equipment construction and part of its training department under one roof.

With the investment in the new company building, ifm is underlining its commitment to the Lake Constance region. On a spacious 7,600 square meters of floor space, a modern two-storey company building is being built in the Bechlingen industrial estate, which will provide space for around 200 employees in the production equipment and training departments. The building site is located in the immediate vicinity of the company’s existing production and development site.
With the new building, the company intends to bring all areas of production equipment construction together at one location. Previously, the teams were spread across two locations – in Kressbronn and Langenargen. The centralization will optimize work processes and increase the effectiveness of the departments.
The company’s trainees will also benefit from the expansion. In the modern building, they will find all the facilities for high-quality training in the fields of electronics and mechanics in one place – ideal conditions for their future start in professional life.
ifm’s regional ties are also evident in the implementation: Georg Reisch GmbH & Co KG, a company from the region, was also acquired as the general contractor. Construction has already begun with the first earthworks, and the building should be ready for occupancy in early 2027.
