December 18, 2025. GlobalFoundries (GF) announced a partnership with the Finnish company Cloudberry on December 18. The collaboration includes GF’s participation as a strategic investor in Cloudberry’s newly launched venture fund and the provision of technological know-how and resources. The aim is to help emerging European semiconductor companies accelerate innovation from concept to industrial production.

This partnership gives GF direct access to European semiconductor and photonics start-ups – from university spin-offs to seed and Series A companies. This early collaboration enables GF to align its own technology roadmap with innovative applications and jointly develop promising future markets such as physical AI, autonomous driving, Industry 4.0 and innovative communication technologies.
