The global expansion of AI infrastructure and semiconductor capacity is opening up new opportunities for industrial environmental technologies. At the same time, geopolitical developments, regional requirements, and global supply chains are changing the framework conditions for investment. In this interview, René Reichardt explains why technological expertise, local market understanding, and long-term partnerships are inextricably linked for DAS Environmental Experts.
Taiwan: Jointly Advancing Environmental Technologies
Taiwan is one of the most important innovation hubs in the semiconductor industry. The growing demand for AI infrastructure is driving the need for high-performance production capacities and corresponding environmental technologies. Through our on-site innovation center, we work with our customers to develop solutions for the next generation of industrial processes. The insights gained from this work can be incorporated into other international projects at an early stage.
U.S.: Strengthening Customer Proximity and Service Expertise
With its Innovation & Support Center in Arizona, DAS Environmental Experts has expanded its presence in the North American market. The location facilitates closer interaction with customers and partners, a better understanding of regional requirements, and targeted training for our service teams. It also symbolizes our long-term commitment to a key region in the semiconductor industry.
International Success Requires Long-Term Relationships
A key takeaway from the interview: Successful internationalization begins long before the first order. It requires patience, a willingness to invest, and a precise understanding of the respective markets. Our local teams play a crucial role in incorporating regulatory requirements, cultural nuances, and customer expectations into our daily collaboration.
For René Reichardt, internationalization is therefore a strategic investment in the company’s future. Technical expertise from Saxony provides a strong foundation for this—combined with a willingness to listen and build reliable relationships on the ground.
Many thanks to the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), the Saxony Economic Development Agency, and the editorial team for the opportunity to share our experiences and perspectives.
