“The success of our business is largely based on the people who take on responsibility day in and day out and deliver reliable services to our customers,” says Burkhard Eling, CEO of DACHSER. “That will not change, even in a world marked by increasing digitalization, automation, and the use of artificial intelligence. This makes it all the more important to train young talent and retain them for the long term.
Across all three apprenticeship cohorts, the logistics company currently employs 1,828 apprentices, 136 dual-track students, and nine trainees in Germany. As a result, DACHSER’s training rate in Germany has remained steady at around ten percent for years. Worldwide, approximately 2,400 young people are enrolled in an apprenticeship, a degree program, or a trainee program.

That’s why we’re strengthening the support we provide to our young professionals across Germany through specialized HR contacts who focus exclusively on training and the needs of those starting their careers. This allows us to better support young people on their journey at DACHSER and foster their long-term development.”
