Cicor: Takeover of two Valtronic production sites and thus completed market entry in the USA

October 30, 2025. The Cicor Group (SIX Swiss Exchange: CICN) has signed an agreement to take over two production sites of the French-speaking Swiss electronics supplier Valtronic as of October 27, 2025. Cicor is thus strengthening its medtech business, securing a strategic location in the USA and realizing an urgently needed capacity expansion in Morocco.

Valtronic has over 40 years of experience in the development, industrialization and manufacturing of innovative medical and diagnostic devices, including active implants. In addition to its headquarters in Switzerland, Valtronic operates production plants in Berrechid (Morocco) and Cleveland (OH, USA), which specialize in the production of medical technology products.

The transaction will add around 220 employees to the Cicor Group and generate additional sales of at least around CHF 20 million, which may roughly double due to important new customers in the US business. The transaction will have no material impact on the Cicor Group’s balance sheet and EBITDA margin.

Local production in the USA

Through the acquisition of Valtronic, Cicor gains a first location in the USA with a plant in very good condition, strong local management and production capacity for orders totaling well over CHF 40 million. Setting up its own plant in the USA would have entailed considerably higher investment and start-up costs for Cicor. The acquisition of the Cleveland site from Valtronic is therefore an economically attractive and fast solution.

Doubling capacity in Morocco

An additional advantage results from the acquisition of the Valtronic site in Morocco, which is located in the same building as Éolane Morocco, which Cicor acquired in spring 2025. The integration will bring all plants under one roof, doubling Cicor’s capacity at an existing site. This will enable Cicor to meet the significantly increased demand next year from a major customer in the industrial technology sector, which joined Cicor with the acquisition of Éolane, without significant additional investment.

The transfer of the business to Cicor is expected to be completed in the next few weeks. In the coming months, Cicor will drive forward the integration of the two sites, harmonize technical interfaces, optimize processes and exploit the full potential. The acquisition reinforces Cicor’s strategic focus as a leading provider of electronic solutions in demanding end markets, now also in North America.
