Bechtle continues to expand its European presence with the acquisition of a company that has outstanding customer relationships and an excellent reputation in the Italian market. MMN is a creative solution provider that very quickly integrates new technological developments into its portfolio and complements them with innovative services.
In Roncade, for example, MMN has a site at the largest innovation center and start-up incubator in Europe. The development team consists of graduates from the European Apple Developer Academy, among others, and is currently working on business-relevant solutions for augmented and virtual reality with Apple Vision Pro.
Konstantin Ebert, COO, Bechtle AG: “With MMN, we are gaining a company for Bechtle that has a remarkable passion for technology, is very creative and fast in the development of modern services and helps us to expand our portfolio in an interesting European market. Bechtle and MMN complement each other perfectly and will leverage their respective strengths in close cooperation in the future.”
Realizing ambitious growth plans
With the sale to Bechtle, the founders and main shareholders of MMN want to further develop their company in a large European IT group and strengthen the existing growth. With PierDamiano Airoldi, co-founder and CEO, and Antonio Poloni, Executive Vice President, the top management will remain in charge in the future.
“We want to continue to achieve above-average growth with and for our customers. With its ambitious European strategy, Bechtle AG is the perfect partner for this. The security and size of Bechtle combined with the flexibility and innovative strength of MMN is a perfect, future-oriented combination to realize our growth plans,” says Pier-Damiano Airoldi.
Antonio Poloni adds: “Our ability to anticipate and drive technological breakthroughs has led us to double our revenue in the last four years. But we also know that the best is yet to come, both for our business and for our employees. I am firmly convinced that Bechtle is an excellent fit for our ambitions.”
For Bechtle, the acquisition means quadrupling the number of employees in Italy and entering the service sector. Bechtle has been active in the Italian market since 1998 and previously employed a good 30 people in the IT e-commerce sector at its locations in Milan and Bolzano.
As usual, the parties have agreed not to disclose the terms and purchase price.
