The young talents start their training in various IT areas, such as application development, system integration and software technology, as well as in commercial professions, for example in office management. Dual study programs such as business informatics, computer science and software engineering are also part of the training portfolio at adesso.

adesso has a tradition of welcoming new trainees to their respective locations as part of a Welcome Day. In addition to a personal welcome, the new arrivals can expect a structured onboarding with initial insights into the adesso world as well as a practical introduction to the working methods of the various departments.

“The motto ‘GrowTogether’ is an expression of our corporate culture: We want to grow together and at the same time grow together. Sound training is a key component of this and also the best investment in the future – both for our junior staff and for our company. Many of our current managers once started at adesso as trainees or students. That shows: Anyone who starts with us has the best prospects of developing individually and taking on responsibility,” emphasizes Kristina Gerwert, Member of the Executive Board of adesso SE and responsible for Human Resources.

Structured training with a focus on individual development

Training at adesso is designed to promote both professional know-how and personal skills. The combination of theoretical knowledge from vocational school or university and practical application in the company enables a holistic entry into the IT professional world. Trainees work on real projects, work in agile teams and have access to internal and external training – from specialist training and certification in relevant technologies to language courses and soft skills.

An important element of the training is the personal support provided by experienced colleagues who act as mentors. In addition, great importance is attached to individual support: Training content and development paths are tailored to the strengths and interests of individual talents. The aim is to lay the foundation for a long-term career at adesso – in an environment that focuses on knowledge sharing, collaboration and innovation.

Strategic talent development as part of the corporate culture

adesso continuously invests in the training and development of its employees. In addition to traditional training formats, the company offers targeted development programs for professional and personal development. Among other things, adesso provides the group-wide learning platform “adgrowth”, internal learning hubs and training courses for the further development of managers.

“As a growing IT company with more than 11,000 employees worldwide, we see it as our corporate and social responsibility to qualify young people, promote regional talent and create long-term prospects,” adds Kristina Gerwert. “In times of a shortage of skilled workers, we are consciously focusing on our own systematic training program to meet this responsibility. Our aim is not only to secure our own supply of skilled workers, but also to enable young people to participate in society. The 2025 training year is another step in this direction for us.”
