Accenture Construct consolidates Accenture’s investment project business in the areas of strategy consulting, engineering, project implementation, and technology services, which has quadrupled in size over the past three years. The goal is to support project execution on a large scale and provide clients with a single, accountable partner for the entire project lifecycle. Accenture Construct aims to transform the way projects are managed to reduce delays, cost overruns, and implementation risks. This is achieved by integrating previously fragmented delivery models and leveraging AI and data.
Accenture Construct strengthens Accenture’s position to capitalize on growth driven by three converging demand trends: AI-driven data center expansion, the global energy transition, and the long-term need for infrastructure renewal. The total addressable market for services related to integrated investment projects is $260 billion and is projected to grow at an annual rate of 7.5 percent to $348 billion by 2030.
“Global demand for critical infrastructure investment programs is rising rapidly, while at the same time AI is fundamentally changing how projects are planned, executed, and operated,” said Accenture CEO Julie Sweet. “These developments significantly expand our market opportunity for the investment project services offered by Accenture Construct. Accenture Construct combines deep expertise in large-scale projects with global reach, offering clients a new level of transparency and planning certainty.”
Project complexity is increasing faster than traditional, siloed execution models can handle. Numerous consultants, contractors, and specialized firms are each responsible for implementing a specific part of the project, while the client bears the costs at the interfaces between these parties.
Drawing on Accenture’s extensive expertise in large-scale capital projects and the company’s leadership in data and AI, Accenture Construct addresses these challenges with a unified foundation for project data. This creates a consistent operational view across the entire execution ecosystem. Accenture Construct’s AI-powered workflows transform project execution from reactive management to proactive decision-making.
Thanks to these capabilities—combined with Accenture’s global implementation expertise—Accenture Construct can act as a central, accountable partner from the strategy phase through handover. This reduces handover costs, knowledge loss, and gaps in accountability that typically arise whenever responsibility shifts between the companies involved in the project. The result is earlier risk identification, more informed decisions, and greater certainty regarding costs, schedule, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
“Investment projects do not lack expertise; rather, they lack a shared focus on common success goals. Project sponsors assemble excellent teams, but responsibility is often spread across the companies involved in implementation,” said Adam J. Shaw, CEO of Accenture Construct. “Accenture Construct brings these capabilities together under a single accountable partner that combines deep implementation expertise with AI and data to help project sponsors make better decisions, reduce uncertainty, and achieve better outcomes.”
Accenture Construct serves clients in the private and public sectors worldwide and is organized into five global business units:
- Data Centers: from design and site planning through construction management to rapid deployment and commissioning for clients in the high-tech and platform technology sectors
- Utilities & Telecommunications: fiber-optic and 5G networks, power plants, power grids, water systems, and infrastructure for the energy transition, including wind power and charging infrastructure for electric vehicles

Accenture’s industry-wide leadership is independently recognized: The company ranked 6th globally in the “ENR 2026 Top 50 Program Management Firms” ranking, 4th place in Building Design+Construction’s “Top 80 Construction Management Firms 2026,” and was recognized by ReNew Canada for its leadership in investment projects.
