Silicon Saxony: Taiwan Semiconductor Research Institute and TU Prague agree to establish a Taiwanese chip design training center for international specialists

Prague / Dresden, April 18, 2024. Vojtěch Petráček, Rector of the Czech Technical University (CTU), and Hou Tuo-Hung, Director General of the Taiwan Semiconductor Research Institute (TSRI), today signed a cooperation agreement and an agreement to establish a Taiwanese training center for international chip design professionals in Prague. The five-year agreements aim to train over 500 CTU students in chip design and promote research collaborations with selected European universities. Taiwan intends to further strengthen its leading position in the semiconductor industry through this international initiative, with CTU serving as TSRI’s first overseas partner.
