DAS Taiwan already employs approximately 380 people. Looking ahead, the expansion will create capacity for a workforce increase of about 30 percent. The expansion will take place at the existing location on the same floor. The name and address of the Hsinchu branch will remain unchanged. This is therefore not a new location, but rather part of the ongoing expansion of DAS Environmental Experts\u2019 existing organization in Taiwan.<\/p>\n
In addition to expanding its Hsinchu branch, DAS Environmental Expert is using this year\u2019s SEMICON Taiwan to introduce ALCEA, a new solution for the post-treatment of nitrogen oxides in semiconductor manufacturing. ALCEA was developed in collaboration with the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), with DAS Environmental Experts\u2019 Taiwan-based engineering team playing a central role. The system can be integrated directly into existing exhaust air systems and can reduce NOx emissions by up to 95 percent without requiring additional space in the subfab. This new product thus demonstrates how DAS Environmental Expert combines its close ties to customers and research partners in Taiwan with the company\u2019s technological expertise.<\/p>\n

As semiconductor production has expanded and customers have increased their investments, demand for local technical expertise, reliable project management, and service support has also risen. In addition to engineering, project management, and service, the company is advancing its solutions for reducing PFC and NOx emissions and strengthening its local manufacturing capabilities. The expansion nearly doubles the size of the Hsinchu branch. The new premises offer additional workstations and meeting areas designed to facilitate collaboration between the growing teams and the various functional departments at the site.
At the same time, DAS Taiwan is investing in a work environment that promotes the recruitment, development, and long-term retention of qualified employees. In addition to open workspaces and additional meeting rooms, the facilities include quiet zones, a wellness and nursing room, and the multifunctional \u201cDAS Tree Zone\u201d for informal gatherings, team activities, and wellness programs. The expanded office space is located in the immediate vicinity of the existing Innovation & Support Center (ISC) and is part of the site\u2019s ongoing development. The ISC provides the technical infrastructure for system demonstrations and test setups and is also used for customer meetings and the training of service technicians. The additional office space now creates the capacity to employ more designers, development engineers, and other technical specialists at the location. This will allow development, engineering, technical support, and direct customer service to be even more closely integrated in the future. For DAS, the expansion of its business operations in Taiwan reflects the company\u2019s commitment to further developing its organization in tandem with the investments and requirements of its semiconductor customers. By combining global technological expertise with local expertise in engineering, project management, manufacturing, and service, the company can reliably support its customers as their production capacities increase.<\/p>\n
