At the partner companies\u2019 locations in Dresden, young people can learn about the digital world of work through workshops, live demonstrations, and interactions with IT professionals.<\/p>\n<p>Jan Pratzka, Mayor for Economic Affairs: \u201cWith Level IT Up, we want to show young people just how diverse and exciting IT careers are. Digital technologies like artificial intelligence are transforming our world of work. To meet this challenge, we need people who are curious, willing to take on responsibility, and eager to help shape our city\u2019s digital future. At the municipal IT services department, young talent can experience firsthand that IT isn\u2019t just about technology\u2014it creates concrete solutions for the people of Dresden.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\">Try Out IT and Explore Careers<\/h3>\n<p>Young people can choose from twelve interactive workshops. The program includes, among other things:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Coding and software development: <\/b>Learn to program, develop your own projects, and get to know agile working methods with LEGO.<\/li>\n<li><b>Artificial intelligence and digital technologies:<\/b> Understand how AI, cloud technologies, and virtualization shape our everyday lives\u2014and what opportunities, prospects, and career paths lie behind them despite technological change.<\/li>\n<li><b>Cybersecurity and data protection:<\/b> Experience encryption, hacking, IT security, and the protection of digital systems.<\/li>\n<li><b>Hands-on workshops:<\/b> Exciting challenges, escape rooms, and interactive tech experiences invite you to try things out.<\/li>\n<li><b>Tech Challenges and Escape Rooms:<\/b> Discover digital topics in a hands-on and playful way<\/li>\n<li><b>IT Careers:<\/b> Take a look behind the scenes at companies, learn about IT jobs, and discover just how diverse these career fields are.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The goal of \u201cLevel IT Up\u201d is to give young people practical insights into the IT and software industries and to support them in their career exploration. It\u2019s not just about technical knowledge, but also about learning about different job profiles and career paths.<\/p>\n<p>The participants in the \u201cLevel IT Up\u201d event reflect the diversity of Dresden\u2019s IT and software landscape. Together, they aim to encourage young people to engage with future-oriented topics and inspire them to pursue a career in STEM fields. Through direct interaction with the companies, participants gain authentic insights to help them discover which career opportunities align with their interests and talents.<\/p>\n<p>Participation is free of charge and is exclusively open to students in 7th grade and above.
