{"id":540643,"date":"2026-05-11T16:04:02","date_gmt":"2026-05-11T14:04:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/silicon-saxony.de\/barkhausen-institute-successful-completion-of-the-6g-campusens-project\/"},"modified":"2026-05-11T16:04:02","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T14:04:02","slug":"barkhausen-institute-successful-completion-of-the-6g-campusens-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/silicon-saxony.de\/en\/barkhausen-institute-successful-completion-of-the-6g-campusens-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Barkhausen Institute: Successful completion of the 6G-CampuSens project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 25%;\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.pblzr.de\/dacbb27c-1270-4041-b681-e2b95f06f8a1\/2026\/05\/barkhauseninstitut-logo-400x300_TEXT.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>At the CampuSens closing event in Erlangen, Germany, which took place from March 23 to 24, 2026, our researchers Dr.-Stefan K\u00f6psell from the Trustworthy Data Processing research group and Jana Eisoldt presented two demos:<\/p>\n<p>The first demo &#8211; Trustworthy Execution of O-RAN xApps on a Microkernel &#8211; shows how specialized applications in 5G networks can be operated securely and reliably. It uses a system design with a microkernel to isolate different components from each other and thus increase security. It also reduces the risk of errors or malfunctions.<\/p>\n<p>The second demo &#8211; Post Quantum Secure Remote Control of AGVs &#8211; illustrates how post-quantum security can be integrated into the control of autonomous vehicles in a smart factory environment. It also includes a digital model of the system (a &#8220;digital twin&#8221;). This work was developed jointly with Umbrella, secunet and Infineon IFAG.<\/p>\n<p>Stefan K\u00f6psell gave a keynote speech entitled &#8220;Future Directions in Cyber Security Research Funding&#8221;, in which he presented a critical perspective on current developments in the field of artificial intelligence from a security perspective.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, he presented the recently launched ResMedTec project. This project is being carried out by BI in collaboration with Medical Valley, ICCAS, Vodafone, Scontain, secunet and FAU.
