The QUARKS Quantum Edge Computing Lab is unique in Germany and one of the few of its kind in the world. As part of the QUARKS project, a pioneering quantum computing laboratory for edge computing applications in next-generation networks has been opened at TU Dresden. Edge computing refers to the computation of network functionalities, operations and applications in close proximity to the radio access network to meet the very demanding goals of low latency and resilience.
