Since 2009, he has held the professorship for nanoelectronics at TU Dresden and is the scientific director of NaMLab gGmbH. Julia talks to him about artificial intelligence and neuromorphic computing, clarifying basic terms such as machine learning, narrow and general AI, brain inspired computing, artificial neural networks and so-called spiking neural networks.
